Show that you will not tolerate bullying by wearing ORANGE on Wednesday! This is a day where we unite against bullying by ALL wearing orange.
FARMIGO: Next Delivery 10/22
The next order will be delivered THIS Wednesday, October 22. The deadline to get your order in is midnight on Sunday, October 19. Some of the food was delivered in packaging that can be recycled, so when picking up your next order, please return your packaging for recycling. Also, please make sure you are getting everything you ordered. There is a label on the bag telling you what you ordered, how many bags you are receiving and whether you have products in the cooler. ANNOUNCEMENT for FARMIGO MEMBERS (and future members): Many of you suggested that we share recipes, review on products and the like... We have started our own Facebook page for Farmigo. LIKE "Farmigo South Salem Elementary School" to share product reviews, recommendations and recipes!! Members may have noticed the Banner "Give $20, Get $20". Clicking on the banner will allow you to gift a $20 credit for farm-fresh local food to a friend (new member), and get one for themselves in return! FOOD DAY IS COMING TO SALEM! Friday, 10/24
Food Day 2014 is this Friday, October 24! Please send your child into school with one piece of whole fresh fruit or vegetable. It is 5th Grade Spirit Night! Come decked out in all your RED and have a fun-filled night with a DJ and games! This is a drop-off event and costs $10

Hear Ye Hear Ye by order of Sir Readalot all residents of the Salem Kingdom are cordially invited to the royal hall of books commencing the week of October 20th in the Salem gym. In modern english...the book fair is coming to Salem and we need your help!
Please consider volunteering before or after your child's visit, or anytime that is convenient:
Monday October 20: at 9am, help setting up book fair and decorating the gym.
Tuesday October 21: 9am-2:30pm, help with classroom visits
Wednesday October 22: 9am-2:30pm, help with classroom visits
Thursday October 23: 9am-11:30, help with classroom visits and 11:30: Book Fair Clean-up

AGATE: Panel Discussion on Partnering With Your Child(ren)'s Teachers
Thursday November 6th

Location: Daly All Purpose Room,
Come participate in a discussion with Dr. Westervelt and a panel of talented elementary, middle, and high school teachers and a guidance counselor on how to develop a productive partnership with your child(ren)'s teachers as well as how to make the most of your parent-teacher conference and team meetings. All parents are welcome and encouraged to attend this meeting. Please note, we are on a set time table so teachers can get back to their classes.
