We will aim to meet 12-14 times through the end of May. Parent involvement (in some way) is expected for all participants. Dues will be around $100 per Daisy, which will include the cost of uniforms, patches and supplies. There are limited spots available. For more information or to add your daughter’s name on the list, please email Lori Zlotoff at lzlotoff@gmail.com and Courtney Wilson at cslinker75@hotmail.com.

Trick or Treat for UNICEF

– 40¢ to provide a dose of the measles vaccine to one child
– $1.40 to give a malnourished child lifesaving nutrition for a day
– $15 to supply a child with clean, safe water for one year

This week your child will be bringing home a UNICEF box. Remind your children to take it with them when they go trick-or-treating on Halloween. Any donation, big or small, is a contribution that is greatly appreciated! After Halloween, please have your children bring their UNICEF boxes back to school. We’ll be collecting the boxes at school entrances the first week of November.

All Port Washington schools participate in the UNICEF program. UNICEF’s Trick-or-Treat campaign began 66 years ago to help kids who needed more than candy. Since then, children all over America have gone door-to-door on Halloween with UNICEF collection boxes, calling out, “Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF!” They have helped to raise more than $175 million for the U.S. Fund for UNICEF since 1950.
