Halloween is this week and it's time to Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF! This week your child will be bringing home a UNICEF box. Remind your children to take it with them when they go trick-or-treating. Any donation, big or small, is a contribution that is greatly appreciated! After Halloween, please have your children bring their UNICEF boxes back to school. We'll be collecting the boxes at school entrances in the mornings the week of Monday 11/3. There will also be a box in the main office the rest of the week for late returns. UNICEF is an international organization that cares for the nutrition and health needs of children in developing countries, providing water, education and medicine to the children who need it most!
TREATS FOR TROOPS
Once again Salem will be participating in the "Treats for Troops" program. You can help "sweeten" the days for many of the men and women serving in our armed forces by donating wrapped, non-perishable, non-chocolate Halloween treats. A collection bin will be available in the Salem lobby on November 3rd thru November 6th for your child to drop-off his/her donations. The candy will be sorted and sent to our troops serving abroad. In addition to "treats" we will be sending personal messages (no last names please) and cards/pictures. Please leave all notes in the candy bin. Any questions, please contact Dawn Epp (email@example.com)
