Turn Markers into Energy
We are extending the Crayola ColorCycle program. We will run it through out the year! Please continue to bring in your used markers. As part of district-wide Green Week (February 1-5), South Salem Elementary School is collecting used markers for Crayola ColorCycle, an innovative program that turns used markers into renewed energy. We are collecting any and all used markers - even non-Crayola brands - that are ready to be discarded. The markers will be sent to a facility where they will be converted into clean fuel. This fuel can be used to power vehicles, heat homes, cook meals and more and will help to keep tons of plastic out of landfills. Please help support our efforts by sending in any used markers with your children or by bringing them to the main office where a drop-off box is located. Thank you in advance for participating! Questions? Please contact Meghan Getting-Straesser email@example.com or Sara Federlein firstname.lastname@example.org.
