NOTICE: PROPOSED BY-LAW AMENDMENTS
Amendments to the Corporation's by-laws will be proposed and submitted for a vote at the April 8 meeting of the Corporation. The by-law amendments are intended to update the titles, job responsibilities and duties of the Corporation's officers. The specific proposals are available here.
A note from Mrs. Ferrante:
This is a friendly reminder that if you are returning back to school after hours because you have forgotten something in the classroom, you must be accompanied into the room by a custodian or another staff member. The clerical staff is available until 4pm to assist with this as well. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter!
SCRIP: Order due back April 29
Your child will be coming home with a blue order form for SCRIP gift cards in his or her folder. Please take a look at it, and consider ordering gift cards for Mother's Day, while benefiting our amazing school! What mom or grandma wouldn't love shopping using gift cards! Gift cards make wonderful gifts for teachers, baby sitters and coaches as well! Also, you can purchase gift cards for stores that you already frequent, such as supermarkets, department stores, gas stations or restaurants. This is a convenient way to do your gift and household shopping, while earning money for Salem! SCRIP participating retailers agree to sell gift cards to our non-profit organization at a discount. You buy the gift cards for full face value, redeem them for full face value, and our school receives a percentage as revenue. With SCRIP everybody wins! Please see the attached order form, or the order form your child will come home with for further details. If you have any questions, please contact Bonnie Tanguay / JBCTanguay@gmail.com.

PLAYGROUND WORKSHOP: Meeting on Monday, April 18th - Workshop on Tuesday, April 19th 11:10 AM-1:45 PM
Spring is here and students will finally enjoy a consistent outdoor recess again! We will be resuming our playground workshops! The goal is to help children participate in games that they learn and continue to play during future recesses. This year, we will be allowed to be indoors if it's raining! There is a quick training session with Ms. Ferrante at 11:10 AM on Tuesday, April 19th, right before the workshop begins. Please contact Julie Kozinn at email@example.com to volunteer. We will conduct another workshop in May.

Talent Show: Thursday, May 26th @ 7:30pm
SEPTA hosts Board meetings once a month. All are welcome to join us. The next Board meeting is April 20th at 9:30am at Ayhan's Med Marketplace. We will be discussing topics and programs for next year. Also, we need Parent Representatives at each school; SEPTA needs more parents to share with us what's going on at the school your child attends and help us spread the word about Port SEPTA events (very little time and effort to do this). If you are interested in learning more about how to get more involved email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or come to our next Board meeting on 4/20. We always welcome new faces!
